A Well-Made Easy to Use Invention

I checked very carefully and this *is* the model I have. This is a GREAT easy to set up easy to use product that I wouldn't trade for anything. It has been prominent in my kitchen for over a year now and I love it!



There is a slight catch: you do have to read the directions. Apparently this a far more daunting challenge for most people than I would have guessed as they only took me about five minutes to read.



Yes the moon phases can appear backwards but the illuminated portion of the clock matches the illuminated portion of the moon. This is a very minor complaint and after I got used to it (again about five minutes) it hasn't thrown me off since.



Again yes you have to put a thermometer outside to have the outside temperature. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was expecting. On the plus side I've always found it extremely accurate and what's more the signal appears to be able to pass through an entire house with no problem.



But no this clock adjusts itself and I haven't had to worry about resetting it for a long time.



I love this thing and never plan on replacing it with anything else. After reading these other reviews I guess my only complaint is that it doesn't have a drink ready for me when I get home.



BTW I find myself using the moon phases a lot more than I would've guessed.More detail ...

Most enjoyable and it works.

This is one of the more delightful purchases recently. The little unit and its remote temperature sensor came to life shortly out of the box with no hastle and went to work as advertised. The readability of the projection on the ceiling when it's a little darker lighting curtains pulled and especially at night is wonderful. The direction of the projection is easily adjusted in several directions. It is easy to adjust and tailor to your environment keeps the right time right temperature and just sits there doing its job day in and day out in a most enjoyable way. I bought it as a gift to my wife more as a stocking filler but neither of us would want to be without it now as we find ourselves depending on it. And it has delivered so far.More detail ...

Pretty good for multiple location humidity & temp display.

We have an older home that had some mold issue we had to correct when we moved in. I have a weather stations and various temp/humidity sensors in the house but wanted a centralized unit that could display temp and humidty. The temp and humidty are very accurate (I used my high end Davis unit to compare data) from the base unit and remote sensors. I have been able to determine that having the bathroom exhaust fan for 10 min after a shower is inadequate. With this sensor I know it needs to run for 20-30 minutes to bring the humidty below 60% again. Having this data was vital to prove to my wife that she needs to keep that fan on which she hates doing otherwise.



I have had no issues with the display clarity and think there is adequate backlight when the button is depressed.



There are a few cons:



1) Unit lacks a max/min for temperature or humidity. I found this very surprising since Oregon Sc. has this on their other units that sell for much less. There's merit for keeping things simple but this was just being cheap on their part.



2) There is no trend indicator showing if temp & humidity are rising or falling. Again this would have been very easy to program into the main display but I'm getting picky.



3) Additional remote sensor prices are unreasonably inflated. This is just robbery. For the price of 2 additional sensors you could buy a new unit with 2 remote sensors (unfortunetly the outside doesn'ty let you change the transmission channel). More detail ...

Really cool item!

This is one of the best purchases I have made of recent memory. It is one of those gadgets that every person can appreciate. The projection gives you the unique advantage of seeing the time from anywhere in the room. The indiglo is also really cool if the projection is off. This clock works off batteries (there is an ac adapter for the projector) so it is easy to take with you if you are traveling. I put the outdoor monitor in my window and I can constantly tell what the temperture and upcoming weather is. The best part is the clock is tuned into the atomic clock and is constantly setting itself for accuracy. This little guy is also pretty tough I have tripped over the cord for the AC adapter twice (I can't tell you how infuriating this is) knocking it hard to my hardwood floor. Its still kicking. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who appreciates a good gadget I have loved it since I bought it.More detail ...
